Made in China
If you look down at what you're wearing right now, chances are that you are wearing something made in China. Have you ever thought about the journey the shirt made before reaching your closet or bedroom floor? Before any article of clothing or accessory makes its way into a store, it starts out as a concept. In the extensive world of purse production, this holds true as well. In the eight weeks I spent in this world, I witnessed the transformation of concepts into tangible items from a management and business perspective. Without prior experience in management or business, there was a steep learning curve; after all, there are specialized majors and degrees dedicated to business and management. I will talk about the fascinating and complicated world of “made in china” leather fashion goods, along with how I managed to overcome some difficulties along the way.
