Break Into A Bank
The term banking often draws scoffs from consumers and job hunters alike, albeit for different reasons. After the financial crisis of ‘08, the banking industry has been fraught with distrust and doubts; all of which have been embodied in the stricter regulations that the federal government places to restrict the quantity of damage that any bank could cause. While this might be in favor of the consumers, as a job hunting college senior from a liberal arts school, these new terms of employment can become restrictive. No longer are liberal arts degrees stretching as far in specialized fields such as banking. Banks require more quantitative skills taught in courses that simply are not available within the liberal arts methodology. However, if you have interest in banking and learning the industry, I can share with you the in’s-and-out’s of how to leverage your liberal arts education in the field. I present to you a realistic look at interning with a regional bank to explore your passion in finance.
