Uncertain Paths Encouraging New Beginnings

This summer, I took the opportunity to explore a career path in which I had always envisioned myself. Interning at the Joseph E. Ching Law Firm, I served as a legal assistant to Joseph Ching, an attorney dealing primarily with immigration law. In this position, I dealt primarily with human rights issues, such as asylum claims, but also gained experience in assisting clients with visa applications, while I filed legal documents, researched case law and performed administrative tasks around the office. While my experiences in this internship were rich, the internship left me with more questions rather than answers about my intended career path, encouraging me to explore other fields.
