Exploring the World of Design.
Amanda Hamati interned at TIA Architects, a non-profit architectural firm in Amherst, Massachusetts. During this experience, she worked on building models for the firm’s projects and proposed various design ideas. As the summer continued she decided to expand her experience and explore opportunities in her home country, Jordan. In Amman, she interned at Hanna Salameh Design Group, where she contributed to and engaged in interior design, product design, as well as stage design projects. She was also involved with clients where she amalgamated her own design and ideas with the company’s original style. Both experiences gave Amanda a good overview of the design and architectural work environment. These opportunities also solidified and reaffirmed her decision to pursue a profession within this field.
