Interning at the NOAA Beaufort Lab
The Five College Coastal and Marine Sciences Program partners with NOAA to offer undergraduate summer internship opportunities.This segment will go into my experience interning at the NOAA Beaufort Lab in North Carolina. During my time there I worked under Dr. Carolyn Currin on different research and monitoring projects, centered on the ecology of a few local salt marshes. My work focused more specifically on the distribution of the marsh plant Spartina alterniflora and its potential to act as a Carbon sink.
