Stories of the "unwanted" food

What happens to the food that doesn't get sold in supermarkets? Is it just thrown out? Used for compost? Or reused in a different way? Through interviews, time spent volunteering in soup kitchens, going to markets and farms I was able to see what some people in northern Italy are doing about this issue. By spending time with these people, seeing how they work, interviewing and listening to their stories I was able to see how much of a difference one person's commitment can make. Come hear the stories of the “unwanted” food, the chefs, the vendors and farmers and hear what it’s like to listen, learn and research people’s experiences and commitments.
