Reinvent the Story: Developing the News at Telemundo
In the newsroom, accuracy, angle, and detail are important elements in production. Hands-on experience exposed me to the world of network news production at Telemundo, a branch of NBC Universal. At the Spanish-speaking broadcast network, I pitched and developed packages for reporters and producers. The teams for the shows I worked with became mentors. In my presentation, I will focus on how experience and mentorship helped further my work and how I was able to garner lasting connections. I will focus on how female leaders exist in the industry and what interns can learn from them in order to grow in the field.
