Across the Border: Professional Ethics and Environment Outside of the U.S.
While interning this summer for Fulbright Commission in Brussels, I have gained a new perspective on multicultural dialogue in professional settings. Advising and promoting international education via Skype, phone, email and in-person were my immediate duties. While completing them, I faced misunderstandings on different levels: language barrier, cultural differences, and dissimilarities in the professional environment. In my LEAP presentation I will try to provide you with the details of my experience. It will serve as a basis for my analysis, conclusions, and tips on how to avoid these misunderstandings in an international professional environment.
