Passing on the Gift of Knowledge on Heifer Ranch
In order to end poverty and hunger, a supporting community needs to be formed. The reasoning behind that is mainly based off of the non-effectiveness in telling one person compared to a whole community. Heifer believes that when women are empowered, their community thrives as a result of it. By having women empowerment projects in countries around the world, it shows the importance of spreading information to a whole body instead of a particular group. Heifer Ranch is an educational facility where people from all over the states come to learn about the work of Heifer International. As a facilitator, I had the ability to inform the participants on the mission of Heifer and encouraged them to figure out how they can help the fight against hunger and poverty.
