Chasing the Dream at 30 Rockefeller Center
In my research internship at NBCUniversal’s cable brand, USA Network, I learned about the important role viewer ratings play in developing TV programs from script to screen. Researchers analyze and interpret data that advises programming and finance executives, thereby affecting the content that airs on TV. I will share how a liberal arts curriculum in media and psychology prepared me not only to understand research data, but also to tell the narrative of evolving trends in today's media. Through this presentation, I hope to assist students to market their liberal arts background so that they can secure the internship of their dreams.
