Amazon Business

The College is please to have Amazon in our Workday catalog portfolio. All Amazon purchases must be made in the Workday catalog application. All employees are eligible to make Amazon Business purchases for their department in Workday. All purchases will prompt to the budget authority for approval prior to the orders being confirmed with Amazon.

Non Amazon Business Purchases: Purchases submitted for reimbursement outside the platform will not be eligible for tax or shipping reimbursement.

What’s Coming?

As of April 1, we have launched Amazon Business via Workday. Please visit the instructions on creating a cart, checking out, and an overview of account features and navigation. An overview of this information was also recorded for you to watch at your own discretion.

Amazon Business benefits include:

Mount Holyoke College Policy

Effective November 1, 2013 the College began requiring that employees purchasing on behalf of the institution using the email address will need to create a personal account in order to make future personal purchases due to the MA Sales Tax implications. All current and future purchases on with an email address must have that Amazon account deemed "Tax Exempt" and must be done so through OPS.

Amazon Business

Mount Holyoke College and Amazon have partnered to enable the Amazon Business Punchout Catalog in OPS effective July 1, 2015. Mount Holyoke College is the first institution of higher education in the United States to go live with the Amazon Business Punchout Catalog. If you do not yet have a user account in OPS please complete the User Access Application Form or contact

IMPORTANT: Use of an account for personal purchases is not permitted since it can jeopardize the Sales Tax Exempt status of Mount Holyoke College.

Amazon Business Returns

How can I return or cancel an item?

To return an item, access your Amazon Business account. Navigate to “Your Orders” to find the item(s) you want to return. From Your Orders:

  1. Select Return or Replace items
  2. Choose a reason for return
  3. Print label and authorization
  4. Prepare package and return label

Items shipped and sold by can be returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment. Return policies and timeframes, can vary if purchase was made from a 3rd party seller.

Why am I unable to return my product for replacement?

At this time, product returns are limited to refunds only, and can only be initiated by the Punchout user or administrator. To replace the item, please re-order.

Amazon Prime

Under the current program Amazon Prime is part of the business package. Any additional memberships are considered personal and are not reimbursable.
