At Mount Holyoke, we recognize that our students are working to juggle obligations other than just school work. Being a commuter student gives you the opportunity to earn a college degree without sacrificing other responsibilities. While MHC is a residential community, we hope that the decision to live off campus still allows our students to stay connected, engaged, and as always, an active part of our great community.
Of course the entire campus community is open to all, and we hope that commuting students will continue to eat on campus, lounge in the residence halls and participate in the many social activities, but the Commuter Student Lounge is designed with commuting students in mind.
Commuter Student Lounge
Blanchard 333 is a lounge space specifically set aside for commuter students. With access to lockers, computers, a TV, and a small kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, sink and microwave, we want you to feel at home. The lounge is accessible by OneCard whenever Blanchard Hall is open! The space is managed in conjunction with the Office of Student Involvement. For more information, contact Jaime DeCaro, the Associate Director.
Commuter Student Parking
While you are strongly encouraged to use the free PVTA bus service, Commuter Student parking decals are also available through the parking office for a fee of $100. Visit the parking office page for more information.
Those seeking Commuter Student status will need to fill out an application for Off-Campus Housing, found on the Residence Life page.
Commuter Student Dining
See the Board Plan Dining Options page for information about purchasing meals on-campus.
