Note that all NSF grant proposals require a data management plan. LITS provides resources for your data management plan (what it is, best practices, etc.) as well as a small set of templates to get you started.
NEW! The DMPTool is an online resource that helps researchers/PIs create custom data management plans. A PI can go to the site, create a login profile, and then create a DMP right in the tool. It contains prompts and guidelines to help the PI with writing, and allows the user to save and review the plan. There are currently directorate specific templates available for Biology, Material Resources, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Physics, and SBE (Social, Behavioral, Economic), and a generic NSF form as well.
If you have questions about creating a data management plan, or using the DMPTool, please contact Sarah Oelker, Instructional Technologist and Data Services Specialist, Library, Information, & Technology Services.
