Health Services for Employees

The Mount Holyoke College Health Services provides inpatient and outpatient medical and nursing care, laboratory and X-ray screening, physical therapy and nutrition services, mental health counseling, alcohol and other drug counseling and health education programs at the Pattie J. Groves Health Center. The full range of services is available for Mount Holyoke students only.

The Health Center does provide employee health services for faculty and staff during the academic year. Specific services for faculty and staff include:

  • Pre-employment physicals
  • Department of Transportation drug screens
  • OSHA respiratory evaluations
  • Initial assessment of work-related injuries
  • Immunizations for work-related exposures

These services are provided free of charge to the employee and are billed to Human Resources. Outpatient appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. See more about Health Services Hours...

College faculty and staff should seek urgent care, chronic disease management and routine health appraisals from area primary care providers. Under emergency situations an employee may be seen for mental health or substance related counseling and referral. Comprehensive and ongoing services are available through the college's Employee Assistance Program and through the College’s group health insurance plan (requires login.)

The staff of College Health Services is available to assist with staff and faculty in-service education and consultation. Questions regarding services, consultation or training should be directed to the Director of College Health Services at x2170.
