Cancellation Policy

The SAW Center is a busy place, and sometimes students have difficulty finding an open appointment time. Late cancellations and missed appointments prevent other students from receiving the help they need. Please be considerate and make your appointment time available to others if you cannot be there. Because we want as many students as possible to have the opportunity to work with a mentor, the SAW Center has adopted the following 24 hour cancellation policy:

If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel your appointment online, using the SAW Center’s scheduler, up to 24 hours before the start of your appointment. If your appointment is set to begin within 24 hours, you should call the SAW Center at 413-538-2651 to speak with a receptionist. Any cancellation made within 24 hours of your appointment will be counted as a late cancellation.

Four late cancellations or missed appointments result in the suspension of your online SAW Center account. Once your account is suspended, you will be unable to sign up for appointments online and can only meet with a SAW mentor during drop-in hours. In such cases, you will need to contact the SAW Program, to have your account reinstated.
