Changes to campus copy and print services

The Mail and Copy Center, which will now be known as Mail Services, will remain available to assist departments with this transition and will continue to be available for select copy and print jobs (please see below). Hadley Printing has partnered with Mount Holyoke for many years and is already handling the printing of the College’s business cards, letterhead and envelopes. This is a natural extension of the services they are already providing.

This change will enable Mail Services to continue to meet the ever-evolving needs of the campus community while reducing the overall financial impact on the College. Over the past several years, LITS has made many improvements to the satellite copier program across campus, enabling departments to meet most of their own desktop copying and printing needs. These improvements have allowed for operational review and assessment as well as reductions in underutilized areas and service improvements in growth areas.

Choosing Hadley Printing for the College’s daily desktop copying and printing needs is beneficial for many reasons:

  • It will reduce the overall operational and production costs associated with maintaining an in-house printing operation.
  • Our community will gain access to the latest printing technology and industry expertise without the capital investment necessary for equipment and training.
  • The Mail Services staff will have more time and resources to manage the drastic increases in mail and parcel volumes.
  • The Central Services Complex will be able to free up space needed to accommodate the increase in mail and parcel volume.
  • Our operational efficiency will increase, as will the quality of print collateral.

Below are the only copy services that will be offered at Mail Services starting July 1, 2024. NOTE: Mail Services will continue to provide poster printing in-house. Hadley Printing will not be providing this service. Mail Services will also serve as an emergency backup to any department whose multi-function device is down for service.
