Staff Council

The Mount Holyoke College Staff Council functions as the voice of the staff to the president and other College administrators by establishing avenues for addressing employee issues and concerns; advocating for an environment of respect, fairness, and security; and helping to build a sense of community by facilitating effective communication. The Staff Council will work to effect change and to achieve common goals by advising, consulting, and making recommendations to the College administration on matters affecting the staff.

Newsletters

Staff Council produces two staff newsletters each month, near the first and third Monday.  Newsletters contain staff announcements, notices of upcoming trainings and events, welcomes and farewells and more.  All staff members are welcome to submit announcements and events anytime.

Events

Staff Council sponsors and cosponsors events throughout the year to promote staff appreciation, facilitate interdepartmental communication, and create social venues for staff to get to know each other. These events are coffee breaks, community breakfasts, town meetings, luncheons and Winterfest. See the event page for upcoming staff council events.

Meetings

Staff Council meets every second Tuesday of the month from 1:10 to 2:30 pm during the academic year.
