The Harvard Writing Project at Harvard College offers a brief yet comprehensive document for faculty on responding to student writing.
Resources for Teaching with Writing
The Director of Princeton University’s Writing Program, Kerry Walk, offers helpful, brief guidelines on the elements of effective writing assignments and responding to student writing, as well as a short book called Teaching with Writing. Both the guidelines and her book are available at the Resources for Teaching with Writing webpage.
