The department maintains a Clery Crime and Fire Log, updated within two business days of the department receiving a report of a crime or residential fire, to keep the college community informed about campus crime and residential fires. This log is maintained in compliance with the Clery Act, which mandates that the college publish information about reported crimes within the Public Safety and Service Department's patrol jurisdiction and on the college's on-campus, in residential facilities, non-campus and public property, as defined by the Act.
This online electronic log is maintained for 60 days and may also be inspected in the Public Safety and Service office Monday–Friday 8:30 am–4 pm. To inspect logs older than 60 days, please allow two business days. The college may temporarily withhold information in some cases if there is clear and convincing evidence that the release of information would:
- Jeopardize an ongoing investigation
- Jeopardize the safety of an individual
- Cause a suspect to flee or evade detection
- Result in the destruction of evidence.
Information will be disclosed once the adverse effect is no longer likely to occur.

On August 6 at 9:35 am Officers responded to Carr lab where they observed a former employee trying to gain access to the building. The employee is Thomas Houle of Belchertown. The employee had previously been served a trespass order, and was placed under arrest. Thomas was then transported to the South Hadley Police station where they were able to post bail, and were subsequently released at 11:00 am on the same day. On July 17 at 4:59 pm officers responded to an active fire alarm at Mead hall. An Officer entered the building from the basement and proceeded to the forth floor where rain was heard pouring into the building, a second officer and SHFD personnel from the outside perimeter discovered smoke and flames coming from the Southeast corner. Mutual aid arrived, all fire was extinguished by 8:41 pm, two officers remained on site overnight to keep watch. This event was caused by lightning. (2101-79-OF).

On March 9 at 12:55pm a student reported someone opened the dorm to her room in North Rockefeller at around 3am that morning. The male told the student that he had the wrong room. The student additionally reported she saw the same man running down the hall about an hour later (Incident #1401-258-OF). Case Open.
On March 9 at 9:55am a student reported someone entered their unlocked room at North Rockefeller between 3:30am and 4:05am. Stolen from the room was an iPhone. The student reported that the only activity she noticed in the hall around were two males and a female walking down the hall (Incident #1401-255-OF). Case Open.
On March 9 at 9:13am a student reported that someone entered their unlocked room in North Rockefeller between 2:00am and 7:30am. Stolen from the room were a computer, iPhone, charger, wallet with some debit and credit cards, keys, and a student ID. Later that day, the wallet and keys were found and were returned to the student; cash that was in the wallet was removed. (Incident #1401-254-OF). Case Open.
On March 9 at 5:04am officers and the fire department responded to a fire alarm at Mead Hall. The cause was determined to be a sprinkler system malfunction, and Facilities Management was notified (Incident #1401-253-OF).
On March 9 at 3:58am two students, who are roommates in South Rockefeller Hall, reported someone entered their unlocked room between 12:15am and 3:45am and stole a laptop and iPhone. The students reported the only thing unusual in the hall was they had seen a couple of unescorted males on the floor prior to their departure (Incident #1401-251-OF).
On March 8 at 1:45am officers received a report of a male guest at Creighton Hall who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Officers were able to remove the male from the building and performed sobriety testing. Based on those results, the male was placed into protective custody. In the morning when he was able to pass sobriety tests, he was released to a friend and was trespassed from campus (1401-245-OF).
On March 8 at 1:12am officers and the EMTs responded to North Mandelle Hall to assess a student who was not feeling well. The student was referred to Health Services (Incident #1401-244-OF).

On January 14 at 1:28pm officers responded to Ham Hall for a fire alarm. The alarm was reset (Incident #1301-43-OF).
On January 13 at 7:00am officers responded to the Equestrian Center for a report of damage to College property. Facilities Management was notified (Incident #1301-40-OF).
On January 13 at 2:14am officers responded to Ham Hall for a well being check. A student was located and determined to be fine (Incident #1301-38-OF).
On January 10 at 2:42pm officers took a report of credit card fraud. This information has been compiled and is being investigated (Incident #1301-33-OF).
On January 9 at 11:26pm officers responded to the Blanchard Bus Stop for a medical emergency. A male party was assessed and transported to the hospital for additional care (Incident #1301-32-OF).
On January 9 at 6:52pm officers responded to 1837 Hall for a report of a larceny. A student reported a debit card stolen from her wallet (Incident #1301-31-OF).

On January 5 at 1:46pm officers responded to the Kendall Hall for a medical emergency. A student was assessed and transported to the hospital for additional care (Incident #1301-23-OF).
On January 4 at 11:20am officers responded to the library for a medical emergency. A staff member was assessed and transported to the Health Center for additional care (Incident #1301-19-OF).
