Teach For Bangladesh: Finding My Place in Non-Profit

Teach for Bangladesh is a start up non-profit organization dedicated to ending educational inequity in Bangladesh. This summer I interned in Dhaka, Bangladesh as a Selection and Matriculation intern. During the summer, the organization was in the midst of choosing the first batch of fellows and often times the office turned into a disorganized mess. The office was between fluctuating employees, and full of summer interns. My job as an intern consisted of organizing and editing information on Fellows, assisting in website analytics, and recruiting campus ambassadors from around the world for the upcoming year. Without the supervision from a stable and predictable office, I had to figure out ways to turn my summer around by taking initiative and it turned out to be an immense learning experience.
