Flexibility is Key

The first step to cracking the corporate code: be flexible. Interns are expected to not only demonstrate smarts, but to also leave behind a lasting impression. Finding ways to connect with different people is almost as important as the work you produce. This summer I rotated between Business Controls and Leveraged Finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch--groups vastly dissimilar in culture within the same bank. I hope to illustrate, through contrasting my experiences in both groups, the importance of being able to adapt.
