Annual Open Enrollment
Health, Dental, Life, and Long-Term Disability
Open enrollment period: May 1 – May 31. Changes take effect July 1.
Employees may drop or change coverage for health, dental, life and long-term disability benefits during the annual open enrollment. Employees who do not initiate a change during open enrollment for optional health, dental, life or long-term disability insurance will automatically continue their coverage as is into the next plan year.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Open enrollment period: May 1–May 31. Changes take effect July 1.
Every year employees may elect to participate in the Flexible Spending Accounts - Medical and/or Dependent Care Accounts during the annual open enrollment. Employees must elect to participate every year. If employees do not elect to participate during the open enrollment period, they are not eligible to participate for the upcoming plan year.
Annual Benefits Fair
Confused by Insurance? Foiled by Flexible Spending? Don't worry! Your Super Heroes from Human Resources will save the day! Come to the Annual Benefits Fair!
Human Resources will holds an annual Benefits Fair where employees can get updated information about health and dental insurance rates and make changes to benefits. Representatives from all of our benefits vendors as well as a few local banks and businesses attend the fair, which is typically held in the spring.
Changes Due to Change in Family Status
In addition to changes permitted during open enrollment, an eligible employee may change health, dental and life insurance coverage, and the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) within 31 days of the changes in family status.
