How long will it take for a decision?

Academic Year

During the academic year (September – early May), the IRB will render a decision between one week to 10 days of receipt of a proposal.

Summer and January Break

During the summer months (mid-May, June, July, and August) and January break, the IRB will make every effort to render a decision within two to three weeks of receipt of a proposal; however, the IRB offers no obligation on its part to do so. If a researcher is concerned about turnaround time, please either submit your proposal during the academic year or consult with the Board (by email) prior to or when submitting your proposal.
