Monday, August 3, 2020

Dear students and families,

The Mount Holyoke team is excited to welcome new and returning students to the 2020 fall semester in just a few short weeks! As you have learned through our various updates, faculty and staff alike are working hard to prepare for a rigorous academic experience and engaging cocurricular activities despite the changes forced by COVID-19.

Important updates have been posted for students planning to live on campus in fall 2020:

Please read carefully and in its entirety. We are sharing this information with all students and families, including those who plan to study remotely, so that the entire student community can remain up to date on our plans.

One of the challenges of planning during this pandemic is the rapidly evolving course of the virus and resulting changes in state guidelines. We therefore find ourselves in a moment of needing to pivot from earlier plans, due to developments and requirements outside of our control. Thank you, again, for your partnership and patience as we plan with the health and safety of our community as top priority.

Following your review of this information, please send any questions to covid-19info@mtholyoke.edu.

Sincerely,

Marcella Runell Hall
Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students
