Building Access Update

Sunday, March 15, 2020

Good afternoon,

I'm writing with an important update related to building access.

As already communicated, only current students, staff, and faculty with Mount Holyoke IDs are permitted entrance to buildings on campus.

In the interest of the health and safety of our community, we will begin to transition electronic building access to a locked position by noon on Monday, March 16. The transition will be conducted on a rolling basis as we adjust building schedules and modify permissions.

Should you need to move among buildings on campus, please be sure to bring your Mount Holyoke ID (“one card”) and your phone. Should your ID not work in a building to which you need access, please contact the person or department you are trying to reach or call Campus Police at 413-538-2304.

Beginning as soon as possible and no later than March 21, only students who were officially approved to stay on campus, current faculty and current staff will be allowed to access campus buildings. Retirees, emeritus faculty and students who are not living on campus will not have access to campus buildings.

Please note Kendall Sports and Dance Complex will be closed March 16 until further notice. Kendall is open today, March 15, until 2 pm for locker clean out.

Please continue to monitor https://www.mtholyoke.edu/health/coronavirus for updates.

Thanks,
