FAQ and travel information for students

Thursday, March 12, 2020

Dear students,

I know that yesterday’s announcement has left you with many questions about the coming weeks and months. This FAQ contains important information about resources and information that we hope will help answer your questions. Thank you for your patience in our process. And thank you to the students who have begun organizing formal and informal support networks and resources. The website is a living document and will continue to be updated in real time. Please check back frequently, though we will also notify you through separate channels if any updates require your immediate attention.

  • We are asking ALL students to register their updated travel and check out plans using this form. This is a required process for health and safety reasons and the deadline is Friday, March 13, by 4 pm.
  • As noted in Sonya’s message yesterday, on-campus housing and dining will be provided to students who have no other option but to remain on campus — please fill out this form to be considered. If there is additional information you would like considered please email me directly after completing the form.  The deadline to request an exemption is Tuesday, March 17, by 4 pm.
  • We have established a Student Life Safety Net (Emergency Student Relief Fund) to support students who may have unexpected financial needs related to curricular resources, moving, travel, etc. If you have questions, please email dean-students@mtholyoke.edu.

If you know of someone who is looking to contribute to this emergency fund, the Alumnae Association, in partnership with Advancement, has established this website to manage donations

We will continue to share more information as it becomes available.

Warmly,

Marcella Runell Hall
Vice President for Student Life, Dean of Students
