Moving to operating level one on campus

Thursday, February 25, 2021

We are pleased to announce that on February 25, 2021, the College’s operation level will move from level two to level one: normal COVID-19 operations.

This means that the campus is continuing its daily health screenings and all should continue to wear face coverings and practice physical distancing. Residential students will continue to be tested twice per week. There are still no visitors or guests allowed in any campus building except for approved vendors and contractors, and the campus grounds remain closed to visitors (including alums and students not studying on campus) and the public at large.

In this new operating level, residential students may leave campus for short and minimal trips within a 10-mile distance off campus in order to access the resources they need for food, personal hygiene, grooming, etc. Students must be particularly sensitive to the fact that their neighbors and/or fellow residents are impacted by their decisions. All students are expected to practice preventative behavior when off campus, including wearing a face covering and maintaining a physical distance of at least six feet. Students should always avoid close contact with others in confined spaces, and should always wear a mask when traveling with others by private vehicle.

This new level does not change status for staff—those who are working remotely will continue to do so. On-campus employees will continue to be tested on a normal schedule.

Please visit and bookmark the COVID-19 dashboard for descriptions of the operational levels. Every individual’s diligence, vigilance and compliance will help our community maintain this operating level.
